Ilustración de cuerpo entero de las vedetes, un retrato frontal y otro de espaldas, ambas con vestido de lentejuelas con capucha y falda de volantes sobre fondo liso
Pilar y Milagros, hermanas provenientes de familia de elevada posición, recibieron una esmerada educación, entre la que se encontraba la música, los idiomas y el baile. Aparecieron en el mundo de las varietés debido a su frescura juvenil destacando ambas en sus repertorios de bailes y cantes elaborados especialmente para ellas. Celia Gámez las contrató para cantar junto a ella el número de Las viudas en Las Leandras (1931) cosechando enorme éxito desde entonces. Más tarde formaron un ballet y salieron de gira a Portugal, fijando allí su residencia hacia finales de los años treinta. La elegancia y dulzura que las caracterizaban, hicieron de ellas verdaderas artistas de popularidad inusitada.(Hª arte frívolo, p. 217)
