<abstract>Contenido parcial: Contiene 383 cartas autógrafas de los años 1637 y 1638 de los padres de la Compañía de Jesús sobre diversos temas de la época dirigidos principalmente al padre Rafael Pereira del Pedro Novais desde Lisboa, Gaspar Suárez de Toledo desde Salamanca, Andrés Mendo desde Segovia, y otros padres desde Madrid, Soria y Roma. Existen también otros destinatarios como son los padres Diego López, Juan Díaz, Francisco Sánchez y Alonso Martínez. También hay documentos anexos a las cartas sobre temas varios sobre Portugal, el sitio de Bahía y noticias sobre Madrid, Lisboa y Roma de 1638.</abstract>
