Alcance y contenido: Puerta de Alcalá vista en blanco y negro desde las Escuelas Aguirre. La instantánea capta la calle de Alcalá, a su izquierda el Parque del Buen Retiro, a la derecha, edificios y la Iglesia de San Manuel y San Benito. La estatua del General Espartero se ve de espaldas dividiendo la calle en la que circulan pocos vehículos, entre ellos un tranvía. Al fondo, una amplia perspectiva de Madrid, destacando el Palacio de Comunicaciones
